Facebook has added a stalker friendly timeline feature.

Gears of War 3 dropped and in this gamers opinion was flawless, stunning, & epic!

And I have been finding new ways to drive the people over at Overdrive Media Console totally insane. More updates, fixes and insanity to save the digital age... coming soon!

Google + Invites...Offline Google Docs, Calendar and More

Hola Tech Heroes of the day,
I apologize whole heartedly for not being available for the month of August…life gets in the way. Onward to bigger and better thoughts Google + has arrived on the scene and at first glance you will find it to be a refreshing alternative to sites like Facebook. The style is a little bit different making it seem very user friendly.  Though I do us social networks I’m not sure how much  I will be inclined to use Google + but it has a great format and seems like it will be a great platform for those just getting into social networking. If you already have a Facebook account and are a devoted Facebook or Twitter fan I’m not sure the stylistic changes will be enough to convert you into a Google + user but they do have great organization and a cleaned up style rather than  invites and request all over. Though it take some time to get used to the Google + terminology and settings, once you realize the concepts of your circle and the +1 you are basically on your way. With the introduction of Google Docs and Calendar offline coming within the next few weeks you can bet that Google + will gain members quickly. This piece of news is exciting because now more than ever it is important to be able to access your documents, calendars and books both online and off. Keep in mind Chrome just set up an offline mode for your Amazon Kindle collection, called the Kindle Cloud. This app can be reached in Chrome or Safari and you can read to your heart’s content. Excellent start to a social network… I am extremely excited to see the future of the site and features on Google and Google +. Still need an invitation to Google +? Visit the Link below…it’s where I got mine, register and then click the get and invite. Keep in mind you must send back the conformation before it will take you to the invite page.

Enjoy and rule the World Wide Web with safety and integrity my tech heroes!

Tuesday Updates and Touch Screen HP's

Hola Heroes,
Sorry for my recent absence as of late. I was vacationing in tech city and… the villainous virus barrage struck without warning. Just a quick heads up to all those out there dealing with updates pushed my Microsoft, this last Tuesday and this Tuesday are supposed to be terrible, and wonderful, so to speak, so plan accordingly. Also, Windows will no longer be updating XP from 2014 on… sad day for all of us.  More news tomorrow. I am currently working with the new generation touch screen HP’s, the look is more Mac  in touch screen mode, which disappoints me because I was hoping for a friendlier navigation system than that look for this new touch screen system but its functionality is very encouraging. Also the sync between the keyboard and mouse seem to be flawless thus far, and the sensitivity of the screen is top notch. More on the new touch screens later!

Oh Noo... I've Forgoten the Password To My Secret XP Lair!

Have you forgotten your password to your Windows XP computer? Here’s a quick way to get back into your computer and recover your username and change your password, quickly without new software tools.

“Basically, at Windows XP Welcome Screen, simply press Ctrl-Alt-Del keys sequence together twice, and you will be shown a Log On to Windows menu which you can specify User Name and Password. In the User Name text box, key in “Administrator” (without quote) and leave the Password field blank. Then press Enter or click on OK. If there is not password protects the Administrator account, or blank password is set, then you will be able to access the Windows with full administrative privileges as Administrator.” (Adapted from the video below)

After you have logged in as the super-administrator go to control panel, users, and change your user password to something you can remember. Below is a short video that will walk you through the entire process.

Pink Screen Fix!

My first tip for all of you out there deals with the issue of a screen getting a pinkish hue to it. If you are experiencing this issue, first try to recalibrate the settings. If that does not work simply try changing the screen cord that links the screen to the CPU. Sometimes the prongs on the end of the cord get bent, or they wear out which leads to your pretty pink hue. If none of these solutions work try a few more settings and restart. If not your monitor may be dying. It took me hours to find the simply solution to just swap the cord, as I had this problem with brand new monitor and swapping the cord fixed it immediately. That’s your tip for today. Slay the pink screen monster with the cord of fate!
